The BBC French desk journalist,Federick Tankang who was kanapped yesterday at about 8 pm by an unidentified gun men succeeded in escaping from captivity same day.

Talking to colleagues who visited him Friday May 27,Federick intimated that he was abducted at new Bamenda in a drinking spot opposite senator Madam Regina Mundi's house .
Many people were also Kidnapped and taken to the bush in his car.
The kidnappers he said,stormed the drinking spot, ransacked everyone , seized cell phones and collected money from them at gun point.
Federick was on his way home, after dropping a freind at Amour Mezam travel agency on that fateful day.
The kidnappers took him on a bike going towards miles 4, en route to Nforyah, passing through Mbesi.
While at mile 4 junction,Tankang gathered courage and push the bike rider on the ground and escaped.
All his phones, the car and other communication gadgets were also seized.
