| One Of The City Council Buses now in oblivion Bamenda city council brought the buses to feel the transportation vacuum created by the restriction on movement on motor bikes and also to forestale Mondays ghost town. FCA, 100 million was invested in the purchase of six buses. “The government has allocated 100million to support the bus shuttles and the city council intends to buy more buses alongside one air-conditioned bus which can also be used by councilors for leisure or when need arises". The city council mayor Paul Achoubong ,made this statement in one his sessions held in prelude to the purchase of the buses. This was a laudable project which eased movement on Mondays ghost town. Many have questioned why the vehicles that served the population for free has suddenly disappeared from the streets. |
